Sociologist with a master degree on Sociology and Planning. Working in the Lisbon Municipal Police since 2008, Head of Strategic Development with main responsibilities on: Strategic Planning, Community Policing, Studies on Police-Citizen Relationships and on the Strategic Training Plan. Trainer on community policing models and facilitator on police-community strategic partnerships and community engagement on safety issues, by boosting local partners in working together with the police in the process of identifying, prioritizing and building joint answers to local insecurity problems. Also works with national and international partners on exchange of knowledge and best practices on Community Policing, CPTED, Intercultural and Mediation approaches to urban safety.
