Declan Redmond

Dr. Declan Redmond is a lecturer in urban and regional planning in the School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Policy at University College Dublin (See http://www.ucd.ie/gpep/people/drdeclanredmond/). His principal research interests revolve around housing and planning and in particular social housing, urban design and quality of life issues. He has undertaken research on regeneration and community participation and is currently involved in projects investigating social housing regeneration and quality of life; the impacts of the housing crisis in Ireland; participation of communities in the planning system, as well as on the role of heritage in the planning system.
